Cooking is a tradition for lifelong resident
Coming from a long tradition of cooks, Pat Oxford Smith has been active in the kitchen for most of her life.
“Growing up, I lived two doors down from my Grannie, Aletha Fallin, and would go to her house almost daily,” Pat said. “She won several ribbons from entering the peach cookery contest. I would sit and watch her in the kitchen. She always had a pound cake and coffee in her kitchen for friends and family to enjoy. I learned from watching her. I wish I would have paid more attention to her now.”
