Funeral services for Bobby Joe Wiltcher Sr., age 73, of Bernice will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Rev. Scott Scallan and Rev. Terry Hughes, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Visitation for Bobby Joe will be on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Bobby Joe was born October 1, 1938 and passed away September 21, 2012 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Bobby Joe was a retired master logger. He owned and operated Wiltcher’s Pulpwood and Logging and B.J.’s Trucking for 55 years. He enjoyed fishing, working in the woods, family, and traveling.

Bobby Joe was preceded in death by his father, Barney Jefferson Wiltcher, Sr., his mother Ellen Phillips Wiltcher, and two brothers, Billie Jean Wiltcher, and Barney Jefferson Wiltcher, Jr.

He is survived by his wife: Annette Wiltcher of Bernice; daughters: Sandra Woods of Haughton, LA; Sherrie Harris of Haughton, LA and Stacey McLeod and husband John of West Monroe, LA; sons: Joey Wiltcher of Bernice LA; Mike Adams and wife Peggy of Hamburg, AR; Crawford Adams and wife Tammy of Hamburg, AR; and Kelley Joe Adams and wife Bang On of Thailand; sister: Bettie Jo Cupp of Weldon, LA; grandchildren: David, April, Jereme, Jeffery, Misty, Steven, B.J., Dusty, Heather, Tyler, Trevor, Erica, and Jacob; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by his two puppies, Prissy and Rowdy.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Adams, Trevor Adams, Jeffery Wood, Steven Wood, B.J. Wiltcher, Dusty Wiltcher, David Woods, and Gene Keller. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Adams.

Family would like to thank the Hospice Family Alliance and special thanks to nurses Nita Gandy and aides, Angela, Teresa Gray and May Taylor.
