Sweet tea and the South
Lord have mercy, if some health official south of the Mason Dixon Line ever gets the notion to ban sweet tea from our public kitchen menus. There will be war!
I read recently where the New York City Board of Health passed a rule banning supersized, sugar drinks at restaurants, concession stands and other eateries. The Big Apple regulation puts a “16-ounce size limit on cups and bottles of non-diet soda, sweetened teas and other calorie packed beverages.”
