Four former football players at Louisiana Tech University are now coaching at Dallas-based Bishop Dunne High School. The group includes (from left) Offensive Coordinator Myron Hawthorne with daughters Malajah and Malana; Assistant Director of Technology and Student Development Director Ryan Moats with daughter Riley and son Ryan, Jr.; Head Football Coach Michael Johnson with son Michael, Jr.; and Assisant Athletic Director and Defensive Coordinator Delone Williams with daughter Kaylyn and son D.J.

DALLAS, Texas — Although “Prime Prep Academy” with Deion Sanders has gotten a lot of press this fall, the best high school in the metroplex to play football and get coached into a full scholarship may be right here at Bishop Dunne. Four coaches at Bishop Dunne played football together at Louisiana Tech University, and two in the athletic program are former NFL players. The four football coaches not only attended college together, but are like brothers on the Dunne campus, and their children all attend the on-campus day care created for teachers, housed in the former convent, St. Mary’s Hall.
