Early voting numbers break local record

The big day is this week. On Tuesday, numerous Lincoln Parish residents are expected to flock to the polls to cast their votes for U.S. president, among other items on the ballot.
According to the Registrar of Voters office, a record for early voting was set in Lincoln Parish for this election. There were a total of 4,021 in-person voters, and 388 mail-in ballots have been turned in.

Percentagewise, 14 to 15 percent of registered voters cast their votes early in Lincoln Parish.

This compares with 2,638 parish residents who voted early in the 2008 presidential election
