Alexander secures 5th Congressional District

U.S. Congressman Rodney Alexander slid to victory over his two challengers in Tuesday’s election.

This will be the sixth, two-year term for Alexander, a Republican from Quitman, as representative for the 5th Congressional District.

Alexander won 77.77 percent of the votes in his district, while Ron Ceasar, no party, obtained 14.38 percent of the votes and Libertarian Clay Grant 7.84 percent.
