Cypress Springs Elementary school Principal Doris Lewis has a list of “go-to” people who she knows will answer her call any time she needs them. They’re her school’s Adopt-A-School partners — volunteers from businesses, churches and civic groups who donate time and resources to education.

“Without a doubt, Adopt-A-School is a valuable support system made up of Ruston community helpers grounded in the conviction that a successful public education system is directly related to a dedicated and supportive community,” Lewis said.
