Photo by GOOGLE IMAGES Former Louisiana Tech University quarterback Tim Rattay hasn’t completely ended his career in the professional ranks. He is currently a receivers’ coach for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League. Rattay and former Bulldogs’ receiver Sean Cangelosi were honored as “Louisiana Tech Legends” during the team’s recent final home game at Joe Aillet Stadium.

LAS VEGAS — The way Tim Rattay sees it, he was blessed to have spent a decade playing professional football, a career that included eight seasons in the NFL with four different teams and two more in the United Football League (UFL).

He spent 2009 and 2010 with Las Vegas and was part of the Locomotives’ back-to-back UFL championships before an Achilles injury forced him to retire in July 2010. Since 2011, the former Louisiana Tech standout quarterback has been the team’s receivers coach.
