Today, there are countless families enjoying tasty turkey and stimulating conversation around a dinner table.

They use this time to bond with loved ones, perhaps sharing memories, opinions and beliefs. This is the tradition of Thanksgiving. However, for some individuals, this holiday is not enjoyable, because they may be grieving the loss of a relationship, either through divorce or death, and the celebrations and seeing other people in high spirits just emphasizes the emptiness left as memories flood back of happier times.
