'The cloud' heralds in media future
Last Christmas, I found a Kindle under my Christmas tree.
If you’re unfamiliar with what a Kindle is, it is a small, electronic device used for reading books –— an e-reader (short for electronic reader).
For a fanatic reader like myself, it was one of the best Christmas gifts money could buy. And, yet, nearly a year later I’ve purchased very few books for it.
Sure, I’ve downloaded numerous free books, and used the device to connect to OverDrive, a service offered by the Lincoln Parish Library that allows patrons to check out electronic books.
