Ruston High School’s boys got some much-deserved recognition recently for winning a Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division II state championship in swimming.
The Bearcats’ team was honored during a recent assembly held at the school, where students and faculty recognized the achievements of both the boys’ and girls’ squads who competed at the Sulphur-based LHSAA competition.

Ruston’s boys competed for the fourth straight year and, in addition to capturing the state title, also had championship performances at the Alexandria Invitational and conference meet.
