Christmas Eve services expected to draw crowds
Several area churches are organizing special services to observe Christmas.
As many individuals who grew up in Lincoln Parish and then moved away come back to visit for the holidays, these annual services tend to draw larger crowds.
Temple Baptist Church Associate Pastor Dale Oden said the annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, set for 5 p.m. Monday, typically draws around 1,200 people.
“We’ve been doing this for more than 30 years,” Oden said. “The sanctuary will be full. We will be singing carols, having Scripture readings and a children’s message.”
