Despite losing 31 seniors, Tech cupboard isn’t bare

Leader photo by O.K. DAVIS Whenever Kenneth Dixon touched the football during his first season in college, good things usually happened for Louisiana Tech University. The Strong, Ark., product rushed for 1,194 yards and scored 28 touchdowns.

Kenneth Dixon and Johnny Manziel have two things in common.

Both had incredibly outstanding seasons as college freshmen.

Both will also have a bull’s-eye on the back of their jerseys this fall.
Such is what comes with success.

Sudden success, no less.

Dixon was an unknown shy, laid-back young man from Strong, Ark., when he walked into Louisiana Tech University’s fall training camp last August.

He left as one of the Bulldogs’ most productive offensive players ever.
For that matter, he was one of the prolific first-year performers in NCAA history.
