Ruston’s Board of Aldermen will be asked on Monday to set in motion a highway construction project that Mayor Ronny Walker said will not only spur economic development, but also ease traffic congestion on part of Cooktown Road.
The proposed improvements, which include a turn lane onto the westbound Interstate 20 service road, are among the items aldermen will consider during their regular monthly meeting. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

GRAMBLING — In taking with the trend of fining individuals who “sag,” Grambling Police Chief Tommy Clark explained to the town of Grambling aldermen that recent complaints have led him to investigate options in combating this issue.
