Vidrine: Change hearts, not gun laws
Last week was the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and it occurred to me that there is a kind of disconnect in our country.
Much has been said and hearts totally broken over the events in Newtown, Conn. While the killing of all those people, especially the kids, was horrendous beyond words, it is also true that had those same beautiful, little ones been killed seven or eight years ago while still in their mother’s wombs, society would have just looked the other way. Why? Why does where a child happens to live determine whether we grieve their death or not?
