To be diagnosed with cancer is a traumatic experience for any individual and his or her family.

Sometimes this dreaded disease strikes the most innocent and vulnerable among us — children.  

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cancer is the second most common cause of death among children between the ages of 1 and 14 years in the United States, surpassed only by accidents.
