Sophomore guard has calm demeanor for Bulldogs

Raheem Appleby is the leading scorer for Louisiana Tech University again this season, but has also upgraded his defensive intensity and team play to help the Bulldogs sit atop the Western Athletic Conference standings and earn votes in the national polls.

Raheem Appleby, on his best day in the buffet line at Johnny’s Pizza, probably could walk out and still be lighter than a bread box.

He’s so thin that he could turn sideways and be missed.

He’s listed in the official 2012-13 basketball guide at Louisiana Tech University weighing 160 pounds.
