Grambling to consider banning ‘saggy pants’

The City of Grambling will meet for a public hearing on the long awaited “sagging pants” ordinance, along with two other issues to be addressed before the council conducts its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday.

Although Grambling Police Chief Tommy Clark brought the indecent exposure issue to the council’s attention in November, the issue was put off until the February meeting to accommodate the students of Grambling State University. If passed, those exposing their undergarments will be subject to fines or jail time if found to be in violation of the ordinance.
