The mathematics of M&Ms
After reading about how much one would spend for a 30-second spot to advertise on the recent Super Bowl, I tried to put a pencil to the unit cost of M&Ms.
While the red M&M singing the love song to the girl was cute, it was a long way from being $4 million attractive. For the life of me, I just can’t make the math work.
Now, I can see Budweiser spending millions with its Clydesdale ads. The price for a six-pack of beer is quite heftier than that for a 3.14 ounce package of those little round red, blue, green and yellow candies.
