Brad has impressive resume for success in Bearcat Nation

Photo by GARY HARDAMON Former Ruston High School quarterback and three-sport letterman Brad Laird formerly served as a defensive coordinator at Northwestern State University, where he starred as a quarterback and was chosen to the Demons’ All-Time 100 team.

Add on another member of the Laird family to the Ruston High School athletics staff.

This morning, it became official: Brad Laird is the new head football coach for the Bearcats, where father and former head coach Billy Laird serves as the athletics’ director.
The younger Laird was introduced as the new head coach at a press conference held this morning in the teachers’ lounge at RHS.

Here’s a dozen things to know about the “new” Laird in Bearcat Nation:
1-His full name is Stephen Brad Laird. His nickname is “Dr. D.”
