DAVIS Louisiana Tech University point guard Kenneth “Speedy” Smith (right) eyes a loose basketball along with Central Baptist College forward Blake Hanney during first half action in Wednesday night’s game at the Thomas Assembly Center. The Bulldogs cruised to a record-setting 118-48 victory.

It wasn’t a matter of wondering if Louisiana Tech University would score more than 100 points Wednesday night, but when.
That plateau was reached for the first time since the 2009-10 season when guard Kenyon McNeail fired in a 3-point field goal with 7:25 left to play that gave the Bulldogs (24-3) a 101-36 lead over Central Baptist College.
By game’s end, the ‘Dogs had well over 100 points, ending up with an 118-48 win over the Mustangs (7-24) in front of an estimated 3,700 fans at the Thomas Assembly Center.
