Grambling State University
• Assembly Center opens
When it opened in May, the new Grambling State University Assembly Center became the biggest building on campus, nearly tripling the seating capacity of T.H. Harris Auditorium, which was previously used for graduations and programs.
In addition to serving as an arena for men and women’s basketball, the $22 million state-funded facility also houses the kinesiology and leisure studies department, faculty offices, the athletic ticket office, a weight room, dance studio, concessions areas and the team store.
