Saving babies a tail at a time
Many area residents partook in an annual rite of spring in Louisiana Friday evening, and helped a good cause in the process.
Those people munched down mudbugs at the fourth annual March of Dimes Crawfish Boil sponsored by Community Trust Bank and Green Clinic.
More than 1,800 pounds of crawfish cooked by Jo Daddy’s were eaten and combined with T-shirt sales and a silent auction, the boil helped raise $10,000 to benefit the March of Dimes.
“It ended up being a great event,” said CTB Public Relations Specialist Sarah McKinnie.
