Kincannon, Madden wed in New Orleans
Elizabeth Nicole Kincannon, of Ruston, and James William Madden, of Minden, were united in holy matrimony in a 6:30 p.m. March 16 ceremony at St. Marks United Methodist Church in New Orleans. The Rev. Brian Mercer, of Ruston, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ellis Kincannon, of Ruston, and the granddaughter of Sarah Howell Kincannon, of Ruston, the late Lt. Col. Benjamin Patrick Kincannon, Betty Jennings White, of Ruston, and the late Clarence Jackson White.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Scott Madden, of Minden. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Russell A. Adams, Mr. and Mrs. James David Madden, all of Minden, and the late Harold Wayne Johnson.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an Elizabeth Filmore gown of ivory French floral lace over a blush underlay of silk poult. The modified mermaid gown featured a tailored sweetheart neckline and the waist was accentuated with an ivory sash that twisted into a full bow. The chapel length veil was edged in lace. The bride carried O’Hara garden roses, flora-bunda roses, vendella roses, white stock and freesia hand tied and wrapped with ivory dupioni silk.
Serving as matron of honor was Kendall Chandler Aubert, of Houston, Texas. Tina Louise Heitmann, Madison, Miss., Anna Elizabeth Lyons Hitt, of New Orleans, Mary Catherine Johnson, of Baton Rouge, Caroline Hope Madden, of New York, Heather Cruse Shaw, of Ruston, and Kathryn Emily White, of Ruston served a bridesmaids.
The bridesmaids wore gowns of slate chiffon by Jenny Yoo. The gowns featured a strapless sweetheart neckline with the slim A-line skirt falling from the waist. The bridesmaids carried vendella roses, ivory flora-bunda roses, white stock and freesia tied with blush satin ribbon.
Matthew David Madden, of Bossier City, served as the best man. William Duncan Blake-Finley, of New Orleans, Frank Jack DiMauro, of New York, Jordan Lewell Kincannon, of Ruston, Adrian Claudius Orbe, of North Bergen, N.J., Clint McCay Ritchie, of Avon, Colo., and John Russell Wilkie, of New Orleans, served as groomsmen.
Austin Charles Fallin, of Arcadia, Robert Douglas Gorman, of San Francisco, Calif., Morgan Charles Ellis Manoff, of New York, and Kyle Daniel White, of Lafayette, served as ushers.
Ella Grace Gisclair, of Prairieville, served as flower girl, while Ryan Douglas Reagan, of Minden, served as ring bearer. Caroline Grace Brashier, of West Monroe, and Mary Claire Kincannon, of Monroe, served as candle-lighters. Program attendants included Mattie Eloiese Kincannon, of West Monroe, and Catherine Trawich Willis, of Minden. Book attendants included Hanna Elise Brashier, of West Monroe, and Savannah Margaret Willis, of Minden.
Prior to the ceremony, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Patois in New Orleans on March 15.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at Maison Montegut with K-Paul’s serving.
Leading up to the ceremony, many showers and parties were given in the couple’s honor.
On Aug. 11, a bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower was given in Seaside, Fla., by hostesses Kendall Aubert, Aly Hart, Anna Hitt, Caroline Madden and Katy White.
On Oct. 27, an engagement celebration was given by David and Connie Madden at their home in Minden.
On Nov. 23, a stock the bar party was given by Todd and Theresa Alexander, Mark and Tammy Bloxom, Dayton and Ellen Carlisle, Ray and Heather Delia, Ronnie and Twyla Dollar, Paul and Amanda Gulley, Kevin and Kay Hicks, Doug and Sharon Madden, Scott and Melanie McCullough, Barbara McLemore, Bob and Judy Moorehead, Jeff and Becky Mourad, Heath and Erin Ramsey, Nick and Ashley Rowton and Tim and Jennifer Thomas.
On Dec. 15, the couple was honored with an engagement party at the home of Pat and Beth Lyons in Ruston. Hosting the event were Jason and Sarah Gisclair, Greg and Debbie Haddox, Lyle and Anna Hitt, Gabe and Kate Hudson, Ted and Amy Kincannon, Tom Kincannon, Pat and Beth Lyons, Matt and Katie Steed, John Chris and Martha Sue Stephenson. On Jan. 20, a bridal tea was given by Kerri Chandler, Nelda Davis, Cindy Fleming, Judy Moorehead, Patty Pendergrass, Lynn Ritchie, Cindy Walker, Melinda Wilson and Robbie Wilson.
On Feb. 16, a bridal shower was given by Kendall Aubert, Tina Heitmann, Mary Catherine Johnson and Heather Shaw at Bistro Byronz in Baton Rouge.
On Feb. 22, a bridal shower was given at Green Clinic Surgical Hospital by co-workers of the mother of the bride.
On Feb. 22, a wine and cheese bridal shower was given at the home of Becky Crawford in Ruston by Marty Alsup, Kim Brashear, Melinda Brasuell, Becky Crawford, Susan Guillot, Nancy Knox, Melanie Lewis, Kim McCormack, Nancy Mclntyre and Debi Newton.
On Feb. 22, a bachelor trip hosted by Dayton Carlisle, Dr. Wyche Coleman, Barry Guillet and David Madden was taken to Beaver Creek, Colo.
On March 16, a bridesmaids’ luncheon given by Ronda Cruse and Sherri White was held a home on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans.
After a honeymoon to France, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.
