State senator Rick Gallot (D-Ruston) is hoping to shine a little light on the workings of Louisiana’s governor’s office.

Gallot and state Rep. Jerome “Dee” Richard, I-Thibodaux, have co-authored a Louisiana House “sunshine” bill aimed at opening up governor’s office records to the public.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has not been receptive to past attempts to pass such bills.
