Dixon-led attack could create headaches for 2013 foes

Photo by TOM MORRIS/latechsportspix.com- Whether it was last year when he was one of the nation’s top first-year players or during current spring workouts, Louisiana Tech University’s Kenneth Dixon (28) has been a major load for defensive units.

With the Sammy Baugh Award winner and Biletnikoff Award candidate gone, it would only be expected that Louisiana Tech University could have a dropoff in their passing attack during the 2013 season.

But one area that is expected to be just as effective as last year’s march to the No. 1 ranked scoring offense (51.5 ppg) among Football Bowl Subdivision programs is the running game.

Ah, yes, that ground attack which was as vital to the Bulldogs’ offensive efficiency in 2012 as the more publicized passing schemes.

Remember, with the run, Tech averaged nearly 230 yards per game.
