Willie Roaf wasn’t about to miss the Fred Dean “Hall of Fame Pro Day” on Saturday, even though it meant overcoming some logistical nightmares.

In less than 24 hours, the former Louisiana Tech University All-American and 11-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman in the NFL was on the road driving from Destin, Fla., then over to New Orleans and finally up to Ruston for the ninth edition of the football youth instructional camp that was being hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Louisiana.
He didn’t arrive to North Louisiana until the late hours of Friday night.
