Phil predicts more wintry weather to come
The world's most famous weather forecaster was pulled from his burrow at 7:31 a.m. EST to a chorus of boos after seeing his shadow.
According to records at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, it was the 95th time Phil had seen his shadow since first appearing in 1886. Only 14 times has he not seen a shadow.
While many hesitate to put too much stock in the prediction of a furry critter 1,200 miles away, North Louisiana residents will at least be treated with wintery weather in the immediate future.
