From Germany to Guam, Africa to Antwerp, and San Juan to the Sunni Triangle, U.S. servicemen and women have galantly served, laying their lives on the line for our allies and families. To understand why Nov. 11 was chosen as the date for this annual holiday, and when it began, we have to go back to World War I.
