Board passes Dubach bond issue

Dubach currently has no bond debt, superintendent Danny Bell said, “so this will probably mean a 33 mill ad valorum tax for the property and business owners in the Dubach District.”

Immediately following, board members passed a resolution that would allow Dubach residents to vote on the bond proposition in a special election on Oct. 15.

Bell said Dubach High School is in good condition to undergo renovations, according to local architect Mike Walpole. Hico Elementary — the second school in the district — is another story.
