Senate candidate forum gets personal
State Sen. Bill Jones, D-Ruston, the incumbent, opened the forum by saying he wasn’t going to focus on how the state needs to continue its work on improving education and creating jobs.
“My record shows that I have been active in both areas, and that I’ve made a positive difference,” Jones said. “Every election involves us in a decision-making process where all of us compare and contrast the candidates. I think it’s time we did that. The contrasts between me and my opponent are stark.”
