Armed robbery suspects jailed
The series of events leading to the arrests began Aug. 17 at 1:35 a.m., when two men described as white males, entered the Shell Stop and Save at La. Hwy 33 and Interstate 20 and tried to purchase beer.
The clerk refused the sale since it was then Sunday morning, and one of the men responded by pulling out a Hi-Point 9mm pistol and robbing the clerk, according to Ruston Police Capt. Bill Davis.
“The only thing they took was beer and cigarettes,” Davis said. “They were driving what was described as a dark blue, extended cab pickup truck.”
