Kathryn Price of Shreveport and Robert Parker of Keithville were united in marriage at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on April 17 at Brookwood Baptist Church in Shreveport. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. John Harp.

Kathryn is the daughter of Randy Price Jr. of Arcadia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Welsh and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Price Sr. of Saline.

Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Parker of Keithville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rainey, the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Parker and Mrs. Martha Warren of East Point.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless, satin, A-line gown with pearls and beading on the bodice and the chiffon split overlay continuing on the chapel-length train. Her pearl edged elbow-length veil was accented by a pearl headband worn in her hair.

The bride carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and white calla lilies.
Courtney Christ of Ruston was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Parker of Keithville, Jamie Kennedy of Saline and Heather Guthrie of Bossier City. The honorary bridesmaid was Hannah Robinson of Saline.

The bridesmaids wore knee-length, black, strapless, satin, A-line dresses with ruching at the empire waist. They carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas.

Josh Grisham was best man. Groomsmen were Josh Guthrie of New Orleans, Shane McCartney of Shreveport and Kevin O’Rourke of Shreveport.

Ushers were Jason Thomas and Michael McDow, both of Bossier City.

The flower girl was Natalye Tingle of Friendship, and the book attendant was Julie Aud of Waxahachie, Texas.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Savoie’s in Shreveport. Savoie’s also catered the reception. Music was provided by Jay Cougar DJ service.
The following showers were held in honor of the couple:

A couples’ shower was held Feb. 6 at the home of Cheryl Brister in Stonewall. Hostesses were Sharon Parker, Sarah Parker and Cheryl Brister.

A bridal shower was held Feb. 28 at Old Saline Baptist Church in Saline. Hostesses were the ladies of Old Saline Baptist Church.

A bridal shower was held March 14 at First National Bank in Ruston. Hostesses were the bridesmaids.

A surprise miscellaneous shower was held March 19 at CenterPoint Energy in Shreveport. Hosts were the bride’s co-workers at CenterPoint Energy.

A pamper the bride shower was held April 10 at Shoguns of Shreveport. Hostesses were the bridesmaids.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held April 16 at Brookwood Baptist Church.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Shreveport.
