School Board sticks with block schedule

With block scheduling, students attend four 90-minute class periods each day. A course is completed in half a school year and students are able to take eight different classes over the year.
In the traditional six week schedule, students attend six 55-minute classes. Each course lasts the entire year.
Lincoln Parish has used block scheduling since 1999, Superintendent Charles Scriber said.
