Trey Lavespere will be among the pitchers available for duty on the Louisiana District 5 team which begins pool play at the 2010 Big League World Series in Easley, S.C., on Thursday. A Pineville product, Lavespere has a 6-2 record, 1.97 earned run average and two saves.

Eddie Parkman and his Louisiana District 5 team wouldn’t mind having a winning streak still going when this 2010 summer season ends.

If they do win out, then it would mean a first-ever championship in the Big League World Series, which begins today in Easley, S.C.

The “5” crew won’t open play until Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. (CDT) pool play contest against the champions from the Central United States.
