Businessweek.com had an article about Louisiana late last month, and the news was less than flattering.

Based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Louisiana is the country’s laziest state. To clarify, Louisiana residents spend more of their time in activities that involve sitting down as opposed to physical activities that involve standing up (such as exercising and even working).

Some Louisiana residents may dismiss the study because they believe it was flawed. Other state residents, however, may believe the study is a polite way of saying we need to do better.
