Lincoln Parish School System officials call it another tool at their possible disposal to reduce the high-school dropout rate in the parish.

According to a new proposed plan, a high-school student who attends the Lincoln Parish School System and skips class might lose his or her driving privileges. School system officials could contact officials with the state Department of Motor Vehicles and tell them about students who are habitually late to class and habitually absent.
