Nest prepares to hatch live-work units

Work will soon begin on business, residential development
Construction crews are already working on infrastructure needs for the new Nest development at the corner of Trenton Street and Kentucky Avenue in Ruston. They will begin constructing residential and business lots sometime this fall, said developer Wayne Hunter.

Construction crews will begin work in either September or October on an environmentally friendly property in Ruston that people may use for both business and residential purposes.

Wayne Hunter, president of the Ruston-based Chemical Dynamics, announced last year that he is developing the Nest property development on Trenton Street, near the corner of Kentucky Avenue. Construction crews were supposed to start work on the project this past spring, but there was a delay in plans, Hunter said.

“We were behind schedule,” Hunter said.
