Mike McHale and area business leaders who helped raise money for Patriot Paws are waving flags of success.

And they vow to continue the fight for America’s disabled veterans.

McHale joined with Drake Mills of Community Trust Bank, Bill Elmore of Citadel Resources and Rick Hohlt of the Ruston Daily Leader to spearhead the fundraising effort that resulted in a $24,000 check being presented Friday to Patriot Paws founder and CEO Lori Stevens. CTB, Citadel Resources and the Daily Leader joined forces to match dollar for dollar other donations made to the project.
