Tech professors to exhibit works
Carwile describes herself as open and outgoing, while Caldwell describes his life as insular. Nevertheless, the artists said they feel their work “gels.”
“Damon and I have been talking for a while about how we should do a show together,” Carwile said. “I thought it’d be interesting to see if our work will interact.”
Carwile said she begins her paintings with a grid, which allows disparate fragments to appear to be unified in the composition. The images are multi-layered.
