Last night at the annual Domestic Abuse Resistance Team candlelight vigil, the community gathered to remember 28 residents who lost their lives to violence at the hand of a loved one in the five parishes served by DART. The vigil is held each October as a culmination to Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Community members joined with the families of these individuals to honor their memory and to commit to taking a stance against domestic violence.
