No truck to carry load for area arts
Peter Jones, vice president of NCLAC and fundraising chair, said the annual event might be without a truck prize for the second year in a row.
Initially, the Pick up the Arts fund-raiser derived its name from the choice of winning prizes.
"Early on, the raffle winner was given a choice of a pickup truck or $10,000," Jones said.
However, since this time vehicle costs have increased and the council has been forced to limit their winners to the cash option.
