Schrom: Tech’s AIGA exhibit is ‘best of the best’

Though Ruston lacks the number of privately-owned galleries and art museums found in urban areas, this bustling college town offers more than meets the eye, especially for art enthusiasts. To those friends of mine who say, “There’s nothing to do in Ruston,” I say, “You haven’t dug deep enough.”

Right now, through Nov. 18, Louisiana Tech University’s School of Art galleries are featuring two renowned exhibitions: “AIGA 365” and “AIGA 50 Books/50 Covers.” These exhibitions are the result of two international design competitions sponsored annually by the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
