Sculptor finds strength in her art

Artist Diana Synatzske will sell earthen toned ceramics during the Holiday Arts Tour in November. She is currently sculpting with clay machinery, bolts and nuts with metallic finishes.

On many days Diana Synatzske has her hands full — full of clay. That’s because the sculptor recently chose to immerse herself in her art by enrolling in the Masters of Fine Arts program at Louisiana Tech University.

“Total immersion gives you more energy,” she said. “It takes you out of that normal routine (domestic responsibilities) that will sometimes break down your desire to create.”
