William and Nancy Hanks celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 17. Their family hosted an evening of food and fellowship at the Hanks’ home. The Hanks were married Oct. 15, 1960. They have two children, Mike Hanks and wife Cammie, and Jackie Billberry and husband Philip. They have four grandchildren, Lance Billberry, Brittney Billberry, Hunter Hanks and Abigail Hanks.

HAMMOND — First Guaranty Bancshares, Inc., the parent company of First Guaranty Bank, announced recently that it completed its merger with Greensburg Bancshares, Inc. (“Greensburg”), the parent company of Bank of Greensburg.
Pursuant to the merger agreement, Greensburg merged with and into First Guaranty and Bank of Greensburg merged with and into First Guaranty Bank.

On Tuesday afternoon, a woman allegedly “jumped on” a man, taking more than $50 in the process.
Ruston Police Department responded to a simple robbery call at the East Side Mini Mart at approximately 5:42 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated a woman had “jumped on him” and hit him.
According to the report, the victim identified the suspect as Star Ayannah Kimble, 17, of 2001 W. Alabama Ave., No 10. Kimble reportedly grabbed money the victim was holding in his hand and left the scene in her vehicle.
