D.A.R.T. Angels to brighten Christmas
The concept of the Angel Tree is simple: A child makes a wish for a toy or clothing and that wish is written on a cut-out angel and hung from a tree. Adults wanting to help a less fortunate person can then pick an angel and fulfill a child’s wish.
“Our angels have a child’s age and gender and a small wish from them of what they want for Christmas,” Domestic Abuse Resistance Team (D.A.R.T.) Child Advocate Keena Ogle said. “We have Angel Trees with about 50 angels on each tree at Curves and the Vision Center, and people are already putting packages under the trees.”
