With all of the Ruston Parks and Recreation fall sports wrapped up, let’s talk turkey. Let’s give thanks on Thanksgiving for its cornucopia of foods that are consumed on that day: stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato pie, hot rolls, cream corn and of course, turkey, among other delights. Tomorrow, friends and family in the United States travel hundreds of miles to gather and gorge in a celebration tracing back to 1621.
