Health official advises flu shots for everyone
Lincoln Parish coroner Dr. Allen Herbert said that while he had not seen a case of classical flu, he stressed that getting the flu shot was important for everyone.
“The flu shot is recommended to everyone unless they are allergic to the shot,” he said. “Getting the flu shot is very important for people who have chronic heart or lung diseases and for the elderly and debilitated.”
He said that he had a very limited amount of flu shots still available, and the next time he receives a shipment will be in January — if at all.
