Cold temps on horizon

Marty Mayeaux, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, said the bulk of the bad weather is over.

“The winter storm has pretty much come and gone,” Mayeaux said. “But, we still have some trace amounts of snow here and there.”

Most of the snow occurred north of Ruston, he said.

“This system is now leaving us,” Mayeaux said. “We expect clouds coming across the day and really cold temperatures as we get to Tuesday. We’re looking at 18 and 17 degrees for Ruston.”
Mayeaux said many of the problems for the rest of the week will have to do with very low temperatures.
