Ground broken on service road project
The project is one that has been seven years in the making, Ruston Public Works Director Lewis Love said.
“This started before I came here in 1999, when they were doing the preliminary work on this project,” Love said. “The environmental assessment was the first part of all of that. Now it’s 2006, and we are actually getting the first contract.”
Ruston Mayor Dan Hollingsworth called today a “red-letter day” because of the groundbreaking on the project.
